Gaming smartphone brand iQoo is set to launch its next smartphone, the iQoo Neo 5 on March 16, the company announced through a teaser posted on social media. The new smartphone will be the successor to the iQoo Neo 3 5G that was launched in China in April last year. The iQoo Neo 5 is speculated to come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, along with an AMOLED display and a multi-camera setup at the back.

The iQoo Neo 5 launch was announced by the Vivo spin-off brand on its official Weibo account. The teaser image shared by iQoo shows a hole-punch display design. The image does not show anything apart from the front panel of the iQoo Neo 5. There is nothing known about the iQoo Neo 5 but it is expected that details will keep coming leading up to the launch. While there is no official information about the iQoo Neo 5, the smartphone has been a part of the rumour mill since a while.

Earlier this month, a tipster had hinted at the possible prices of the iQoo Neo 5. The tipster had then said that the iQoo Neo 5 will be priced starting CNY 2,998 (roughly Rs 34,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, CNY 3,298 (roughly Rs 37,500) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, CNY 3,398 (roughly Rs. 38,600) for the 12GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, and CNY 3,698 (roughly Rs. 46,000) for the top-spec 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.

The iQoo Neo 5 is further rumoured to come with a 120Hz Super AMOLED display from Samsung and will feature a 16-megapixel front camera. At the back, the iQoo Neo 5 is rumoured to come with a triple rear camera setup headlined 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 primary shooter, a 13-megapixel ultra wide angle shooter, and a 2-magepixle macro lens. The smartphone is also expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The iQoo Neo 5 is also expected to come with 88W fast wired charging and 66W wireless charging.
